Inline Skates were stolen only a couple of days after he had bought them. He told me that he had left them in the common room at school and, as he is at quite a prestigious sixth form college you would not think that such a thing would happen. He was doubly upset because he said that all of the people in the common room at the time were his friends and he found it really distressing to think that a friend of his could have stolen his skates. I was also amazed at this, particularly as I wondered when the thief would ever be able to wear the skates in front of him. However, he was adamant that one of his friends was the culprit and it has affected him quite badly in that he feels he cannot trust those closest to him anymore.
